No April Fools? No jokes yesterday worth having. Wow, this country’s become so conservative! ((^_^)).
April is a BUZY time for me, and Laura Carboni. For one, Laura’s decided to get married. That’s right RUSHers, she’s taking herself off the market. 0_0. She’s marrying the love of her life, and moving to Taranto Italy! I’m very jealous, not because I think her fiancé is hot or anything, but because I LOVE TARANTO ITALY. Don’t you hate it when your friends get to do all the cool stuff? So we’ll be the only members of Team Rush who’re* married. >.> That means, you can expect ZERO romance in our future stories. 0___0.
Convention time is here. Man, there’s a lot that goes into getting prepared for a convention, even if you just plan to just sell some books and doujinshi in an artist alley. I know lots of you out there are artists, and so you know the amount of prep-work it takes to get everything ready, just to sell your works [fan and pro books, and prints]; you must make sure your publisher gets your books to you on time [if you’re a pro]—you have to make sure your printer gets your artwork to you on time [if you just sell illustrations]—you must pay for your table, and membership to the con, on time [usually months in advance-yuk]—and if you’re lucky, get a non-smoking motel room that you don’t have to share with anyone…ON TIME. The month of April will be spent preparing for con appearances in two Texas cities: Dallas [A-kon June 1-3: I’ll be at Table D, #25], and San Antonio [San Japan, July 13-15]. I’ll have copies of RUSH 1 and 2, my new graphic novel, Only Words, as well as my works from other publishers—and my Gungrave/Trigun fan doujinshi. I’ll be giving out free postcards, and hanging out with all my friends, many of whom I haven’t seen in ages. Cons are great, once you get there…it’s the prep time that’s killer.
Anyone else going to a con this year? If so, which one? Any in Texas??!
*looks like whore, LMAO!
